Social-emotional skills include learning to share, taking turns, showing empathy for classmates, and self-regulating their own strong emotions. We provide a safe environment for children to learn how to manage the loss of a toy to another child during play or sit quietly and listen to a short story without interrupting,. These experiences help them explore different feelings and create the foundation for self-regulation. Teachers encourage children to be aware of how their behavior impacts others and practice interpersonal problem-solving skills.

Gross motor skills are the whole-body movements that allow kids to balance and coordinate their actions. We provide kids opportunities to make progress in these important physical developments, including plenty of time outdoors. We help children make mind-body connections that not only develop these skills but boost their self-confidence as children feel physically capable and self-sufficient.

Building self-confidence is essential. We want our kids to believe in themselves, know they are important, and realize their accomplishments are worth celebrating.

Preschool fosters language and literacy development with one-on-one conversation, dramatic play, and engaging storytime.

We provide teachers with curriculum guidelines to appropriately teach each age level.  The development of young children is a continuous process.  Children develop at different rates: therefore, their ability to perform will vary with each task.  Each child is viewed as an individual.  Our curriculum is carefully organized to provide different levels of development for each child.

We are committed to teaching Christian principles in the classroom through example, prayer, Bible stories, songs, and weekly Chapel.

Need more hours than Friends in Christ Preschool offers? Have a day when there just are not enough hours in a day? Let us help.  We are current FIC staff offering extended care for those in need.  We will offer fun games, activities & snacks.  
Hours of Operation: 2:35-4:30 pm Monthly and daily rates available.

Friends In Christ Private Kindergarten puts your child ahead of the rest. We offer a comprehensive learning experience in a Christ-centered, loving and nurturing environment.

**All fees are non-refundable and due with your application.
Registration is not complete until fees are paid.

Kindergarten is five days a week from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and follows the FISD calendar.
Tuition is $620 per month

Meet the Teacher:
If your child will attend school on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday we will have "Meet the Teacher" Monday
August 26th 10-12pm. Children attending Tuesday or Thursday will have "Meet the Teacher" on Tuesday
August 27th 10-12pm. If your child will be attending all 5 days you may come either day. This is a come
and go event.
❖ At least one parent is required to attend.
❖ Check in will take place in the gym for payment processing and paperwork.
❖ Pay September tuition. Our rates for the 2024-2025 school year are as follows:
2 day program: $285 3 day program: $355 5 day program: $555 Kinder: $645
Extended Friends cost is $70 for 2 days, $90 for 3 days, $120 for 4 days, $160 for 5 days.
❖ For returning students, if your records are complete, the only forms you will turn in is the "All About Me" and
"Allergy Form". These will be sent out in March and only after your fees have been paid. In addition, you will need
to provide a current shot record each year. At Meet the Teacher, we will ask that you verify the other forms we
have on file from the previous school year. If your paperwork for this year is not complete, we will let you know.
❖ For new students, the registration packet that was given at enrollment must be completed and returned before
Meet the Teacher. These forms include the Medical Release, parent handbook agreement, All About Me,
Registration Form, and please provide a current Shot Record. You may drop the paperwork off at the preschool
office or mail them to 7659 Preston Rd., Frisco, Tx. 75034.
It is very important that we have completed paperwork on your child BEFORE their first day of school.
The state of Texas requires that we maintain current and accurate records of each child in our program.
❖ Supplies: Please see the supply list in the packet.
❖ We will have school t-shirts for sale at Meet the Teacher.

Our first day of FIC will be Thursday August 29th and Friday August 30th
Other reminders:
❖ All three year olds must be potty trained by the start of school. This policy will be strictly enforced due to only one
teacher being in the classroom.
❖ All children in the one year old program must be walking.

The safety of our kids and staff is a top priority for us.

FIC buildings are locked after drop-off and all visitors must check-in at the front office. We also have security cameras at each entrance on campus.

Background Checks: FIC staff is selected carefully and required to complete 24 hours of training per year. Extensive background checks and fingerprinting are conducted on each staff member.

Covid-19 Cleaning: Additional disinfecting on hard surfaces throughout the day and extensive cleaning after school.
